Another Fourth of July
Another year had come and gone, at least in relation to his birthday. Every year was hectic, this one was hardly anything different. It wasn't like things ever stopped happening, as much as he sometimes wished it would. That was the beauty of life after all, it never seemed to stop. Was he getting old? Arthur's old man ramblings were starting to ring true, though he would never admit it. Well, it was bound to happen.
He had been lucky enough to land in a smaller town for his birthday. It was one of those quieter ones where everyone knew everyone and the problems of the world seemed miles away. There were lots of towns like that, according to

HEADCANON// Okay so like I know it's random but
I have this idea that Arthur taught Alfred how to play violin, despite the fact that Alfred whined the whole time, and when he's bored Alfred just randomly plays The Devil Went Down to Georgia just because. If you give Al a violin and told him to sit and wait for something, he'll just sort of play a couple notes before he drops a steady beat and just plays away with a happy grin. (don't tell Arthur XD)
This is my favorite version that I've found.
